Club meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month at 7pm at Evarts Masonic Lodge Hall
The offcial name of this organization shall be Harlan County Ridge Runners ATV Club, Inc.
ARTCILE II The purpose of Harlan County Ridge Runners ATV Club, Inc. are to promote all phases of motorized trail riding as a family activity; to educate the public as to the care and conditioning of motor vehicles for trail activities, environmental responsibilities, trail etquette, and safety; and to establish, improve, and maintain trails, and to preserve the love of the outdoors in Kentucky.
ARTICLE III 1. Membership is open to any person of good character in sympathy with the purpose of the Club upon the payment of one year's dues. 2. Members (16 years and older) shall have voting privileges at all meetings 3. To Hold and or be a Director members must be 18 years and older.
ARTICLE IV The Dues for membership to the Club shall be annual, with a fee to be voted on by the Board of Directors of this Club annually. Dues will run from November 1st to October 31st.
ARTICLE V 1. The Officers of the Club shall be President, Vice President, and Secretary and the Treasurer. 2. The Officers shall be elected at the annual meeting each October for a term of one year. 3. There shall be a nominating committee appointed by the President. This committeeshall recommend a candidate for each office after having acquaninted the nominees with the responsibilities of the office and security their willingness to serve. 4. Additional nominations may be made from the floor. 5. The officers shall be elected at the annual meeting. Officers shall serve until their successors have been elected and duly installed.
ARTICLE VI Duties of the officers shall be: 1 The President shall be the chief executive office of the organizations. He/she shall preside at all meetings of the Club and shall be Chairman and preside at the meetings of the Board of Directors. The President shall appint all committees. He/she shall sign all documents requiring offical signature and shall perfrom all other duties incidental to the office. 2. The Vice President shall perfrom the duties of the President in the absence or incapacity of the President. The Vice President shall automatically become President of the organization upon the resignation or death of the President. 4. The Secretary shall keep an accurate record of the activities of the Club. Its Board of Directors shall issue all notices of Club meetings, shall be responsible for the correspondence of the Club, shall prepare and keep a listing of all Chair and members of the Standing Committees. 5. Any officer or elected or appointed may be removed by the Board of Directors whenever, in its judgment the best intersts of the Club would be served.
ARTICLE VII 1. The Board of Directors shall be composed of all elected officers and 8 other Club members. 2. The election of the 8 Board members who are non officers shall be held at the annual meeting from nominations from the floor. The term of these Board members shall be one year. 3. The function of the Board of Directors shall be to perform the essential Club activities that must be acted upon for the good of the Club; to formulate and recommend programs and activities to the members of the organization or the consideration and approval; to identify and help Committees necessary to futher the prupose and functions of the Club; and to carry on such other business as may be delegated to it be the Club membership.
ARTICLE VIII The fiscal year of the Club shall be November 1st to October 31st inclusive.
