2009 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Jan. 2,3....NEW YEAR’S DAY RIDE, rides leaving from the North Evarts Campground, off park leaves at 9:30am, on park leaves at 10:00 am….SHARP.

Feb. 14....SWEETHEART RIDE, we take the ladies on the park for a days ride, and return to prepare them a steak dinner with all the trimmings at the Community Campfire Pit.

March 6-7....WINTERFEST, located at Brimstone riding area, Huntsville, Tn, 2 days of great riding, community campfires, and much more, for motel and camping information log onto  www.brimstonerecreation.com PLEASE NOTE: This ride MAY alternate each year same week between Brimstone and the Black Mtn Off Road Park in Evarts, Ky.

April 11....ANNUAL RAMP FEST, on park ride leaves at 10am Community Campfire Pit, serving starts at 5pm. Fried wild mtn onions/sausage, pinto beans, green beans, fried taters, fried maters, corn bread, and the lady Ridge Runners Famous desserts, hot dogs will be served as well, NOTE: Our Christmas Angel Tree Donation Box Will Be Set Out. April 25....ANNUAL LIGHTNING BUG RIDE, nite rides on and off park leaving at 5pm from the Community Camp Fire, on park plans to return around 10-11pm, off park can return anytime between 2am and longer, please take enough gas, food for a long ride.

May 23....ANNUAL PIG ROAST, located at the North Evarts RV site, rides will leave out from the Community Fire Pit at 10am, serving will start at 1pm until 6pm, a 10.00 donation per plate is asked. SPONSOR ATV Illustrated Magazine  www.atvillustrated.com

June 13....ANNUAL SUMMER STAMPEDE, verda event field, guided rides on Friday, on and off park leaving from the Community Fire Pit, Events will start on Sat. at 12noon, pole bending, mud bog, ladies MUD DASH for cash, obstacle course, and end with drag races. A $5.00 fee for each event, with 1st place trophies, 2nd & 3rd place to get their pick of a Ridge Runner Cap or Tee Shirt. Registration will start Sat. morning at 11am Verda Field. July 3-5....Harlan Honor Gaurd will have a poker run/cook out ride, on Sat. July 4th, registration starts at 9am, ride leaves out on park at 10am, from the North Evarts RV site, they will have a bean dinner, a drawing for many gifts, after the ride. 10.00 per hand, and donation for dinner as well. This is a group of men that put on the last rites for our fallen heros when the regular military cannot send in a unit, the Ridge Runners are proud that we can assist them each year. Free guided rides will be going out on Friday, from the North Evarts campground as well.


Aug. 1....FIRST EVER CLUB TO CLUB RIDE, ride from Evarts to Bell Co. as the Ridge Runners hook up with the Bell Co. Holler Crawlers, for a ride, camp and optional fish trip, ATV ride will leave Evarts Community Fire Pit at 9:30am, SHARP, plan for an all day ride,  we will hook up and camp at a pond with the Holler  Crawlers, where if you have a Ky Fishing license you may CATCH & RELEASE, all you want, or plan on a nite ride around their riding area.

Sept. 4-5....LABOR DAY RIDES, both days off park leaves from the Community Fire Pit at 9:30am, on park at 10am, on Sat. stop by the City Hall in Town, as they have lots of craft vendors, food, music, kids corner, and ole fashion block party. www.visitevartsky.com.

Sept. 25-26....FALL CRAWL FOR KIDS, events at the verda field, with all monies going to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, starting on Friday Nite with pole bending at 6:30pm, Sat. starting at 12 noon  with obstacle course, kids obstacle course, mud bog, LADIES MUD DASH FOR CASH,  and ending with drag race, and kids drag race, a $5.00 charge for each event entered for all. Registration on Friday at 5pm, and Sat at 11am. SPONSOR ATV Direct  www.atvdirect.com.

OCTOBER....The whole month is open to Mtn Color rides each weekend, come see our mtn leaves as they start to change, check at the Tee Shirt Shack, Community Fire Pit each nite for a sch of the next days rides.

OCTOBER 16-17....Side X Side Mtn Color Ride, NOTE: THIS RIDE OPEN TO ALL, no matter what you ride, come see our mtns as the leaves begin to change colors, rides going out each day, from the North Evarts RV site, off park at 9:30am..on park at 10:00am... Can't make it this weekend..try another as our leaves are peaking for sure this month.

Nov. 27-28....JINGLE BELL RIDE, the only ride we ever charge for, a UNWRAPPED toy for a boy or a girl, so that come Christmas Morning, we can help put a smile on some small child’s face. Dec. 5-6....CHRISTMAS PARADES, Sat in Harlan, Sunday in Evarts, dress up your toy, then come and enjoy as the Ridge Runners close out yet another year, spend time with families, and get ready to hit it again in 2010.
